This classic ship, called the Ribchic Piranha, was built in 1911 at the same shipbuilding yard as the Titanic, and was previously known as 'The Showman Pub’. This vessel was built in 1911 as an oil tanker and named "Carbolate". It was converted to a pleasure boat which could carry 199 passengers . It was based at Stourport operating public and charter cruises on the River Severn as far as Worcester. When these cruises ceased, it was used as a floating free house pub called The Showman until about 2014. In 2012 the Showman was used as a static pub and grill in Stourport, and was recently remodelled and refitted and turned into a boutique cafe come bistro. The opportunity exists to continue this vessel as a restaurant or clubhouse where customers will be able to enjoy functions on the top deck or dining hall of the boat with food cooked in the newly fitted kitchens below.
