Summary

The Sigma 33 OOD (Offshore One Design) was designed by David Thomas, and introduced in 1978, becoming an immediate success. Fan is an original Sigma 33 OOD with a deep fin keel and a fractional rig.

The One Design concept ensures fair competition and making the Sigma 33 a top choice for sailors looking for a competitive yet accessible class. Whether used in local races or more challenging offshore regattas, the Sigma 33 stands out for its ability to perform under various wind and sea conditions, while offering the comfort and practicality required for extended cruising.

Owner's Comments

I have had the pleasure and privilege of being FAN’s custodian for 25 years. She has given me so much pleasure, both as a racing boat in the active and friendly Sigma33 fleet and as a cruiser in the Solent.

She is beautifully balanced and an absolute joy to sail, with plenty of headroom and comfort down below. She has been carefully maintained every year, coming out of the water for hull work. It will be a wrench to let her go, but it is time for someone else to have the joy of owning her.
