Summary

‘Salen’ is a good example of the ever-popular Sadler 34. This Martin Sadler designed yacht is the 1.42M shoal draft version which allows the shallower areas of our beautiful coastline to be explored. Reliable and economical Yanmar 3GM30 inboard diesel which has been well maintained and recently had her exhaust elbow replaced. Below decks is clean and comfortable with galley, chart table and 6 berths over two cabins and saloon. Hull antifouled late 2024.

Mechanical

Vessel powered by an inboard Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine. This reliable and economical workhorse is located beneath the companionway steps allowing easy access for servicing and daily checks. Engine is well maintained and has an annual service. Most recent was in July 2024 when all belts, impeller and air filters were replaced. Further maintenance work was carried out in August 2024 when the exhaust elbow was removed, heat exchanger descaled, and new gaskets fitted. Reduction gearbox driving stainless steel shaft and 3-bladed fixed propeller. This will push the boat along comfortably at 5 knots. Cutlass bearing replaced in September 2024.

Accommodation

Vessel can sleep 6 persons over two cabins and saloon. The main saloon is entered via the sliding companionway hatch. Steps into the cabin are incorporated into the engine cover.
To port is the L-shaped galley with smart grey easy clean wortopps, smoked perspex fronted cupboards and plentiful storage. Plastimo gas fuelled oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Twin stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water. Battery saving fresh water hand pumped tap. Front loading Waeco fridge with ice compartment.
Opposite the galley is the forward facing chart table. This has a chart table seat with storage below, lots of cubby hole storage and a 12V switch panel. Space for navigation instruments.
Aft of the chart table is the double berth aft cabin. Here you can get access to the rear of the engine and the batteries. Hanging wardrobe. 12V lighting.
Returning to the saloon is the saloon seating/berths with central drop leaved table. There is hull mounted storage cupboards port and starboard and bottle storage within the table.
Between the main saloon and the forcabin is a heads compartment to port and a hanging locker opposite on the starboard side.
In the bow is a further double cabin with infill. Woodwork is teak and in good condition.

GRP constructed yacht with White gelcoat topsides and superstructure. Attractive blue coveline stripe. Teak topped capping rails around hull to deck join. Deep self bailing cockpit with teak topped locker storage. Teak cockpit grating. Large sail locker to port and halyard locker to transom with gas bottle storage. Good sized side decks allowing easy access forward.
Shoal draft fin keel with skeg hung rudder. Lower rudder bearing replaced in 2024. Hull under water areas sanded flat and epoxy primed in 2024. Hull antifouled using international paints.
