Lovely example of the ever popular 'Weekend' brand from the Quicksilver stable. The 6 metre offering has been immensely popular and has been marketed over the years as the 640, 650 and the 670. Basically the same hull with a few differences to the layout.
This is the 670 and she features a fishing cockpit that can quickly turn into an 'alfresco' dining area with seating and a cockpit table. The interior offers a comfortable overnight accommodation for either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. She even boasts a sun roof and has a heads with sea toilet.
Powered by an extremely well maintained 100hp EFI Mariner 4-stroke with a 9.9hp back up. Electronics include the Raymarine Axiom 9 with Lighthouse 3 cartography and a Standard Horizon GX1400GPS DSC VHF.
I know this boat well as I originally sold her to the present owners and has been berthed or maintained in our boatyard since then.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered primarily by a 4-stroke, Mariner EFI, 100hp outboard engine. The engine is situated on the reinforced transom the shape of which allows the engine to be fully raised when not in use. Engine start at helm with flush side mounted throttle controls. Fuel is stored in a 100-litre roto-moulded tank with sender. The fuel lines and filters from the tank to the engine have been replaced. Stainless steel 3-bladed propeller. There is a Mariner 9.9hp 4-stroke with adjustable height bracket to be used as an auxiliary. It comes complete with a separate fuel tank to avoid contamination. This was purchased new in 2019.
The main engine has been well maintained. The lower unit has recently been substantially overhauled and rebuilt with a full photographic record of the work and receipts available by request. This includes:

  • Installation of a refurbished/as new driveshaft housing
  • New oil pump
  • New swivel pin and top mounting yoke
  • New bottom yoke
  • New engine mounting rubber brackets
  • New water pump - Complete unit
  • New Mercury/Quicksilver branded consumable parts

12/240V installation with twin batteries providing engine start and domestic power. Rotary style battery selector switch. New 12V illuminated 6-function selector switch at helm. Original Quicksilver panel still in situ and operates the automatic bilge pump. Batteries are recharged via a Sterling battery charger or the engine alternator. Shore power including 3-pin sockets and shore power cable.

Accommodation

The wheelhouse is entered from the cockpit via a lockable door. Two steps down and you are immediately impressed by the standing headroom and the excellent use of space. The roof has a sliding section which allows additional light and ventilation into the cabin. The helm is on the starboard side and features an upholstered bucket seat, wooden spoked wheel and dash mounted electronic navigation aids. If you flip the seat forward this reveals a sink with pressurised fresh water tap. Aft is a space for a single burner hob should you require cooking facilities. There is a multitude of 3-pin sockets so boiling a kettle isn't an issue.
Opposite the helm on the port side is a seating area/dinette. This can sit 4-persons and will convert to a spacious double berth.
Forward is a single berth on the starboard side. This converts to a larger single/small double by using an infill. There is a heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet and sink unit. Hanging locker.
