History
Adventure Wales is a 60-foot schooner built in 1979 by Southern Ocean Shipyard. She's been with the same owner until 2017, when she was bought by the Challenge Wales charity.
Adventure Wales has successfully circumnavigated the world and undertaken no fewer than 12 transatlantic crossings. She has won First in Class in Round the Island Race (twice) and she's also been participating in the Tall Ships Races in the past.
Adventure Wales can accommodate up to 14 people. For Cruise voyages she can accommodate 13 comfortably with the saloon berth making up the 14th berth'
The vessel has one 4-berth cabin at the bow of the boat, four 2-berth cabins and one single berth at the stern for a crew person. The berths are large and comfortable with storage.
She is equipped with a galley (including a 5 burner hob), saloon, two bathrooms (toilet/shower) and safety systems. The galley/saloon area has windows around it, enabling those inside to see outside at all times. This makes the time in the galley and saloon much brighter & more pleasant
