Summary
Very clean example of the ever-popular Dufour 38 cruising yacht. She is a delight to sail and can be sailed as either a solo vessel or a family cruiser. This is the more popular 2-cabin version with two very decent cabins, a large heads with shower, storage room and beautiful saloon seating area/dinette.
Powered by a Volvo Penta MD2040 inboard diesel with saildrive. Engine is serviced annually at the start of each season. Bermudan sloop sail plan with all lines led aft to helm making this an ideal solo or couples cruiser.
Comprehensive suit of sails for all conditions. Standing rigging replaced in 2023 and a new Furlex roller furling headsail system installed.
Mechanical
Vessel powered by an inboard Volvo Penta MD2040 diesel engine. The engine is situated beneath the companionway and can be accessed from the front and rear. Engine start panel in cockpit with throttle mounted on binnacle.

Electrical

Rigging
Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with deck stepped, double spreader Z-Spar mast and boom. All standing rigging replaced in 2023 along with a new Furlex roller furling system. There is a set of removable running backstays and an inner cutter stay. All lines are led aft to the helm making short handed sailing a reality. Lewmar self-tailing winches. Accommodation
Below decks is warm and welcoming thanks to the warmth of the interior wood, number of opening deck hatches and portlights offset by the well upholstered saloon seating with Dufour pattern. The main saloon is entered via the sliding companionway hatch with removable washboards. Three steps down and you enter the main cabin with full standing headroom.
Immediately aft on the port side is the aft cabin with full sized double berth, hanging space and open shelf storage.
Returning to the saloon and staying on the port side is the heads compartment. This features a Jabsco marine heads with twist and lock handle, Corian work top with built in sink, pressurised fresh water and a shower stall with teak seat and pull out faucet. Open shelved storage and circular vanity mirror on forward facing bulkhead. Opening deck hatch for light and ventilation.
Galley is on the port side opposite the seating area. Top loading fridge with ice compartment. Gimballed gas oven with 2-burner hob. Stainless steel double sink built into Corian work tops. Plentiful storage cupboards above and below the worktops.
In the bow is the other sleeping cabin with V-berth. Dressing seats port and starboard with matching hanging and shelved storage units. Opening deck hatch for light and ventilation.
Returning to the main saloon the saloon seating dining area is to starboard. This features a U-shaped seating area with a single seat opposite. Dining table will drop to make an occasional double. There is storage cupboards and open shelving for pilot books.
Aft of the dining/seating area is the forward-facing chart table. Chart seat and three quarters table with storage. 12/240V switch panel with selector switches. Electronic navigation aids and chart reading light.
Aft is the storage cupboard ideal for berth conversion cushions, dinghy or additional sail storage.

Construction
GRP constructed sailing yacht with deep fin keel and semi-balanced counter hung rudder. White topsides with blue cove line stripe. Under water areas are antifouled and topsides are polished bi-annually.
Teak laid, deep self-bailing cockpit with shallow locker to starboard and deep locker to port. Removable helm seat with storage space for life raft and access to bathing platform with built in ladder. Binnacle with leather covered stainless steel steering wheel.
Teak laid side decks with aluminium toe rail. Stainless steel stanchions with double set of coated guidewires. Stainless steel bow and stern rails.
Sel bailing anchor locker with electric windlass with foot controls. Stainless steel stem head fitting with roller. Mooring cleats fore, aft and mid-ships.
